Large Lego Display Cabinet for Museums — 4-Tier Lockable Acrylic Showcase for Showrooms | HN640cfz

Hobby & Collectible StoresJan 6, 2026Ivy Zhang, Luoyang Hengna Factory Team

Open shelving in a toy store looks fine on day one. By month three, the LEGO sets are dusty, the boxes are sun-faded, and the limited-edition figures behind the counter have fingerprints all over them. Collectors and store owners know the problem — display solutions that look good in photos rarely survive daily retail traffic.

The HN640cfz is our answer to that problem. It is a large model display cabinet built around a steel frame and tempered glass, designed for museums, showrooms, and hobby retail stores where security and visibility matter equally. This page covers the specs, where it works best, and what wholesale buyers should confirm before ordering.

Why tempered glass matters for high-value displays

Glass quality is where most display cabinet suppliers cut costs, and it is the difference you notice within six months. Three grades cover most commercial needs:

Glass TypeBest ForTrade-off
Standard annealedLow-risk environments, budget setupsBreaks into sharp shards — liability in public spaces
Tempered (our standard)Retail, museums, high-traffic areas5x stronger; breaks into blunt granules
LaminatedHigh-security museums, luxury retailMost expensive; holds together even when cracked

For hobby retail and showrooms, tempered glass is the commercial default. It passes safety regulations in most markets, costs less than laminated, and the 98% transparency means collectors can see every detail of a LEGO build or diecast model without distortion.

Dimensions1600mm H x 400mm W x 400mm D
MaterialSteel frame + tempered glass panels

The 1600mm height is the sweet spot for a freestanding display tower — tall enough to command attention in a showroom, short enough that the top shelf is still reachable for staff restocking. The 400mm footprint fits narrow aisles and corner positions where larger cabinets would block traffic.

Where this cabinet gets used

Hobby and toy stores. The HN640cfz is what retailers call a “silent salesperson.” Put your most expensive LEGO sets inside a locked glass tower and customers immediately understand these are premium items. The Moonlight White finish makes colorful sets pop against the neutral background.

Museums and exhibition halls. Curators use the HN640cfz for rotating exhibits because the lock prevents handling and the glass protects against dust and humidity. The 100mm raised base keeps the bottom shelf clear of cleaning equipment and floor moisture. For a longer look at museum display setups, see our action figure display cabinet guide.

Corporate showrooms. Architectural models, product prototypes, and award collections display well in a glass tower. Facilities teams like the steel frame because it wipes down without special products and does not scratch the way acrylic does.

Collector home galleries. Serious collectors with dedicated display rooms use the HN640cfz for sealed sets and limited editions. The lock keeps curious hands out, and the tempered glass blocks UV better than open shelving, which slows box fading.

Ordering and shipping

Sample first — one unit, any configuration. Test the glass, lock, and shelf height yourself before committing volume. Sample cost comes off the container order.

The HN640cfz ships knock-down. Frame flat-packed, glass crated separately. A 40HQ container takes roughly 150–180 units depending on packing configuration, and KD packing cuts freight per unit by 30–40% against assembled shipping.

Lock customization at order confirmation: glass tint, frame color, LED lighting. Mid-production changes reset the lead time. Standard Moonlight White ships in 15–20 days after deposit; custom colors run 25–30. Every order goes out with QC photos of the batch before the container seals.

Payment runs 30% deposit, balance against the copy of the bill of lading. Export docs come standard: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and the CE file. If your forwarder needs specific marks or labelling on the crates, tell us at order confirmation.

Buying mistakes we see often

Ordering acrylic instead of glass for retail floors. Acrylic scratches faster, yellows under UV, and clouds within a year in sunlit stores. Tempered glass costs a bit more upfront and lasts the life of the cabinet.

Skipping the lock for high-traffic stores. Even in low-crime areas, glass displays without locks invite handling. Fingerprints on glass are a maintenance headache; locks keep the display clean and the inventory safe.

Ignoring shelf load capacity. The HN640cfz handles 15 kg per shelf, which covers most LEGO sets and diecast models. But if you are displaying heavy architectural models or cast metal pieces, confirm the load at quotation time.

Common questions

What is the MOQ? One piece for sampling. Volume pricing starts at 10 units, container rates at 50+. Sample cost is credited against the first container.

Can I order a different color? Moonlight White is the standard production color. Custom RAL/Pantone matches run from one container up.

Is LED lighting included? Base units ship without it. Factory-fit LED strips per shelf are an option — the wiring channels get cut during production, so specify early.

How is it packed? Knock-down flat packing with foam interlayers; glass crated separately with corner protection. Shipping to JP, KR, AU, and EU ports is routine.

What about lead time? 15–20 days for standard Moonlight White after deposit. Custom colors and lighting: 25–30 days.

Can I mix models in one container? Yes. Bookcases, sideboards, and wardrobes from the same production line load alongside HN640cfz units in a mixed container. Tell us the model list early so the packing plan stacks the heavy panels at the bottom.

What happens if a glass panel arrives broken? Photograph the crate and the panel, note it on the delivery receipt, and send the photos with the packing record. Replacement panels ship with your next order or by courier for urgent needs.
