Glass Door Bookcase for Hotel Guest Room — Compact Steel Storage Cabinet with Lockable Door
400mm wide, 350mm deep. Fits next to a window, beside the desk, at the end of a hallway — anywhere there’s a gap in a hotel room. Doesn’t take up space. Three adjustable shelves. Extra bedding, magazines, guest belongings. Enough for what a hotel room needs.
Steel body, not MDF or particle board. If you’ve sourced hotel furniture before, you know what happens to wood cabinets after two years: doors warp, edges chip, moisture swells the panels until they won’t close.
Cold-rolled steel doesn’t have that problem. Powder-coated finish, no veneer to peel. A hard knock won’t dent it like wood. Coastal hotels, high-humidity regions — steel doesn’t care. The cabinet in year ten looks the same as year one.

What wood cabinets get wrong
Hotel room furniture gets replaced every 5-7 years on average. Wood cabinets rarely make it to the replacement cycle. Doors warp, veneer peels, edges chip. And when renovation comes, tearing out old cabinets costs labor on top of new furniture.
Steel cabinets have no veneer. The body and door are one-piece cold-rolled steel, powder-coated as the final finish. No edge banding to fail, no laminate to bubble. Year eight, year nine — still straight.

Cleaning is simpler too. Wood cabinets can’t take wet cloths. Powder-coated steel can be wiped down with any cleaner. Housekeeping doesn’t have to remember “this one is wood, don’t get it wet.”
Why glass doors work for hotels
Open shelving in a hotel room creates problems. Dust settles on every surface. Guests leave small items in full view — looks messy. Housekeeping has to wipe each shelf individually.
A glass door solves all three. Dust stays out. The room looks clean. Guest departure inspection is faster — one glance and you know if anything was left behind.
3C tempered glass. If it breaks, it crumbles into small blunt pieces. Standard hotel safety requirement.
Lockable door as an option
Some guests look for it. Not everyone, but enough.
A lockable cabinet door means a guest can leave their laptop, wallet, documents inside and go to breakfast or the pool without worrying. There’s a safe in the room, but a safe won’t hold a laptop. A lockable cabinet adds an extra layer without taking space from the safe.
Lock is optional. Tell us when placing the order. Magnetic close-plus-lock design — the door pulls in with a magnet, then you turn the key. Two keys per cabinet: one for the guest, one for the front desk.
Why 400mm wide
Tested against typical hotel room layouts. The window-side wall section, the gap beside the desk, the hallway nook — this width fits the most common spaces.
350mm deep means the cabinet won’t protrude into the walkway. Guests move past it easily. Housekeeping carts don’t get blocked. 2000mm high stops below the ceiling molding. No dust on top.
Custom sizes available for chain hotel orders.

FAQ
Q: What are the bulk pricing tiers?
Pricing differs at 50, 100, and 500 units. Send us your quantity and any custom requirements — we’ll reply within 24 hours.
Q: What lock options are available?
Standard is key lock, two keys per unit. Master-key option available for bulk orders — one key opens all doors. If a guest takes a key, the front desk keeps a spare.
Q: Can we order samples first?
Yes. 1-2 sample units to confirm dimensions and finish before full production. Sample shipping cost is covered by the buyer; deducted from the final invoice when the bulk order is placed.
Q: Will steel cabinets make noise over time?
Magnetic quiet-close means the door doesn’t slam. No moving parts in the body — nothing to squeak or rattle. Wood cabinets develop loose hinges and warped doors over time, which do make noise. Steel doesn’t.
